The winner of Kirkpinar tournament in 2004-2007-2008 wrestling tournament remains, one of the best wrestler of the 2000-2020 period. Recep KARA black eyes (kara = black) are looking the future with an infinite sorrow. He is 38 years old and won already 4 times the tournament (2004-2016-2008-2016). But the gold belt escaped from his hands, as he had to leave the champion, Mehmet Yesil Yesil, coming from the South, posing on the highest step of the podium. Recep Kara is a very well built wrestler. He was trained by the national Turkish Wrestling team, during all the years he spent in the lower categories of his present weight (115kgs). He started to compete in oil wrestling at the end of 2003 season and continued in winning the Kirpinar 2004 tournament against the veteran Ahmet TAŞCI. Recep Kara likes to practice in different teams. He left the city of Belek (where his opponent in the final was training) to join the team of his chilhood period, ÜMIYE near the city of ORDU. We are waiting urgently the beginning of 2021 season, so that we could feel how is the physical and the mood of this wrestler who remains our favorite.
